Chris Boutcher Memorial Novices’ Hurdle

was run on Friday 22nd November, the 1.40 at Chepstow.

‘The major’ is remembered so fondly by the older members of the Rose and Crown society.

I suspect Chris’ daughter and son in law, Nicki and John Thornycroft were at the heart of this beautiful remembrance.

Many will remember Saturday mornings, in the bar, ‘Sporting Life’s a plenty,

… and then the visit to the turf accountant to translate the mornings deliberations into Yankees, Dual Forecasts, on the Nose etc.!

… and THE RACE RESULT? click here.

Of course the true winner is our memories of a wonderful man.
