The Oxford Half is returning on the 16 October 2022, for a day of autumn cheer and challenge.

The event expects to attract around 10,000 runners, many of whom will be fundraising for local and national charities.

The race uses the roads of Oxford, this will cause changes to usual traffic routes for a limited period on Sunday 16 October. We are working with the Oxfordshire County Council and the Highways authority to agree the route. Every effort is being made in the route planning to minimise the disruption caused with the road closures.

We are taking this opportunity to contact you as a key organisation along the route. We recognise that you will be affected by the closed roads on event day. Full details of the route will be released shortly and will be available on the event website https://limelightsports.club/event/oxford-half-2022.

Road Closures will be in operation from approximately 08.00 in some areas and will re-open from 11.00 once runners have passed by and it is safe and feasible to do so. All roads, expect for Broad Street, Radcliffe Square and Parks Road (between Holywell St & South Parks road), will be re-opened by 14.30. Access for emergency services will be always maintained.

We also champion organisations who would like to be involved with the event. You can support the Oxford Half by cheering on the runners, providing volunteers, entertainment or even race-day promotions for participants.

If you would like to discuss the road closures or how your organisation could get involved in the event, please get in touch by email at hello@oxfordhalf.com.

Kind Regards,

Oxford Half Team
